Batman Tv Show. A Shocking History to the Batman Movies

The Batman TV show began in the 1940's with a series that were made in black and white. The Batman TV show reinvented itself in 1966 with the famous Adam West playing the role of Batman. This Batman TV Show would run for two years and would end in 1968.During this time, Batman was still a very new concept and not everyone would catch on to the dark knight until film maker Tim Burton would take Batman to the big screen by casting Michael Keaton to play the role of Batman in the 1989 self titled movie. Tim Burton hit huge success with the 1989 Batman Movie even though there were many fans angered by Time Burton's choice of Michael Keaton taking on the cowl of Batman. Michael Keaton's portrayal of a playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne by day and a dark broody avenger of justice by night won fans all around the world over. Michael Keaton would return in 1992 for the sequel titled Batman Returns.

1992 was a great year for Batman fans all around the world. The sequel to Tim Burton's Batman comes out and a new Batman TV show airs on the Fox network by Dc Comics partnering up with Warner Bros. Batman the Animated Series would bring fans all around the world together and gave the character of Batman international fame. Kevin Conroy was chosen to play the voice of Batman and with this opportunity; Kevin Conroy would secure his title as, arguably, the best voice for Batman. Many characters that are common in today's Batman mythos were born in the Batman TV show such as Harley Quin (joker's sidekick) and Rene Montoya (detective working with Commissioner Gordon). These characters and many others that started off in Batman TAS have now been active characters in the DC universe. Batman the animated series would run for 85 episodes ending its great run in 1995 with a movie spinoff: Batman Mask of the Phantasm.

After Batman TAS ends in 1995, The New Batman Adventures (commonly referred to as TNBA) would air in September 1997, almost three years after Batman TAS ended. The story's continuality follows Batman/Bruce Wayne after the events of Batman TAS with a greater focus on the people around him. The first robin the boy wonder has moved on and detached himself from Batman to establish himself in a different city calling himself Night Wing. Batman now has a new Robin, Tim Drake, a young boy full of life and is portrayed to be much younger than Dick Grayson was. Barbara Gordon would continue her role as Bat Girl. The Batman TV show would go on to spawning more great Batman Shows such as Batman Beyond, The Batman, Batman the brave and the bold, and the current 2013 project titled Beware The Batman.
